About Adama

The 32-year-old made his senior-level debut 14 years ago and has reached the Olympic Games on three separate occasions. In addition to the ‘21 Tokyo Olympics, he’s also wrestled in the ‘08 Beijing and ‘16 Rio Games. He holds a record of 1-3 in his previous two trips to the Olympics. He dropped his pair of matches in Beijing but picked up a win in Rio and finished with a 1-1 record after scoring an opening-round victory over Bekhbayar ERDENEBAT (MGL). The nine-time African champion qualified for Tokyo with three wins at Africa and Oceania Olympic Qualifier, including a 10-0 semifinal win over Aime RAKOTONIAINA (MAD) to cement his spot in Japan.
