About Lenur

Returning to the Olympics after a gap of nine years, Lenur TEMIROV (UKR) will be wrestling at the Tokyo Games in the 60kg weight class in Greco-Roman. Born in Olmaliq, Uzbekistan SSR before Soviet disintegration, Temirov has won a bronze medal at the 2018 World Championships. A year later, he lost to Sergey EMELIN (RUS) in the semifinal. He later lost to Meirambek AINAGULOV (KAZ) in the bronze medal bout to finish fifth, a position good enough to earn him a ticket to Tokyo. He finished 18th at the London Games in 2012.
