WATCH: 10 women's wrestling final from Asian Championships

ULAANBAATAR, Mongolia (April 29) -- Japan came out all guns blazing at the Asian Championships after missing the previous edition due to travel restrictions. The women's team won the team title comfortably.

Its medal haul included seven gold medals, two silver and one fourth-place finish. Host nation Mongolia finished second in the race while Kazakhstan went home with the third spot.

Here are the 10 finals from the women's wrestling at the Asian Championships.

GOLD - 50kg: Remina YOSHIMOTO (JPN) vs Namuuntsetseg TSOGTOCHIR (MGL)

GOLD - 53kg: Akari FUJINAMI (JPN) vs. Khulan BATKHUYAG (MGL)

Round 5 - 55kg: Umi IMAI (JPN) vs. Sarbinaz JIENBAEVA (UZB)

GOLD - 57kg: Anshu MALIK (IND) vs Tsugumi SAKURAI (JPN)

Round 5 - 57kg: Diana KAYUMOVA (KAZ) vs. Sara NATAMI (JPN)

GOLD - 62kg: Aisuluu TYNYBEKOVA (KGZ) vs. Nonoka OZAKI (JPN)

Round 5 - 65kg: Dariga ABEN (KAZ) vs. Miwa MORIKAWA (JPN)

Lalovic meets Kyrgyzstan President, awarded Order of Friendship

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan (December 8) -- United World Wrestling President Nenad LALOVIC visited Kyrgyzstan on an official visit last week and was received by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr JAPAROV.

The two met in Bishkek and discussed Kyrgyzstan's success in wrestling, and the Kyrgyz President noted UWW's contribution towards the development of wrestling and expressed confidence that under Lalovic's leadership the sport will continue to develop dynamically around the world.

UWW Asia President Mohammed AL-AMAMLEH was also present during the meeting and acknowledged the contribution of the continental organization towards growing wrestling.

After the meeting, Japarov awarded Lalovic for his great contribution to the development of wrestling in Kyrgyzstan and raising the status of wrestling on the world stage. In turn, Lalovich presented Japarov with the UWW Order.

Awamleh was awarded with the Certificate of Honor of the Kyrgyz Republic.
