The Albanian Wrestling Federation last month organized the Technical Course for Coaches in Wrestling with the support and funding from United World Wrestling, Olympic Solidarity and Albanian Olympic Committee.
The course was held in "Te Stela" resort, Tirana with a participation of 24 coaches (22 men and 2 women). The course was built off the guidelines provided by the United World Wrestling Coaching Education Pathway and delivered by Mr. Ivan Tsochev (BUL). In addition to coaches many wrestlers and referees also took part in this course to improve their techniques and skills.
The course was carried out both in the mornings and in the afternoons comprising theory and practical, including an end of day assessment. All participants received attendance certificates from United World Wrestling and Olympic Solidarity.
"We are very happy with this course and the course instructor Mr Tsochev," said Mr. NDRICIM SPAHIU, General Secretary of Albanian Wrestling Federation. "We would like to thank United World Wrestling for this support. This is exactly what we need in Albania for our coaches to acquire the latest coaching techniques and methods to further grow the sport of wrestling in Albania. We recommend this course to all wrestling nations and would like to further our collaboration with United World Wrestling."
