ISTANBUL (November 28) – Established in 1919, the Istanbul Specialized Wrestling Club will celebrate its 100-year anniversary next year in Istanbul.

The training home to hundreds of Turkey’s most celebrated national and international wrestling stars including two-time Olympic champion Hamza YERLIKAYA and 2016 Olympic champion Taha AKGUL.

“Our achievements and this 100 year anniversary speaks well to our nation’s glorious sports history,” said Turkish politician Sadettin TANTAN.  “We would like to express our gratitude to those wrestlers who have made history over that last century each with a new and unique angle, and to the administrations for offering wonderful wrestling events.”
