ASTANA, Kazakhstan (May 9) -- Kazakhstan gave its best-ever performance at the Asian Championships in freestyle, winning the team title with ease. It won four gold medals out of 10. Six other nations -- Japan, Iran, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, India and Bahrain -- won a gold medal each at the competition.

GOLD: 61kg - LIU Minghu (CHN) vs. Taiyrbek ZHUMASHBEK UULU (KGZ)

GOLD: 65kg - Rahman AMOUZAD (IRI) vs. Tulga TUMUR OCHIR (MGL)

GOLD: 70kg - Sanzhar DOSZHANOV (KAZ) vs. Zafarbek OTAKHONOV (UZB)

GOLD: 74kg - Kirin KINOSHITA (JPN) vs. Darkhan YESSENGALI (KAZ)

GOLD: 79kg - Bekzod ABDURAKHMONOV (UZB) vs. Bolat SAKAYEV (KAZ)

PONTEVEDRA, Spain (September 8) -- The U20 World Championships will close out with the medal bouts in five Freestyle weight classes on Sunday. 61kg, 74kg, 86kg, 92kg and 125kg wrestlers will try to win the medals. The United States has already won the team title with Iran trying to maintain the second spot. But Japan is threatening to come close to them. The medal bouts in Freestyle from Friday's weight classes will begin at 18:00 hours.
