BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan (March 17) – The Bayaman Erkinbaev Memorial Grand Prix was held this month to commemorate the life of Mr. Bayaman Erkinbaev -- one of the founders of the International Federation of Alysh Belt Wrestling.

Over 100 athletes from 17 countries participated in the competition, challenging for 11 sets of medals. 

United World Wrestling Bureau member Mrs. Yaksi Rodica Maria, was also present at the event and extended discussions about the promotion of belt wrestling among women around the world.
