NOVI SAD, Serbia (August 27) -- The first-ever Amateur MMA World Championships under United World Wrestling will be held in Novi Sad from October 16 to 19.

The competition will be held in SPENS, Novi Sad on three mats in Men's and Women's categories. The weight classes will be:

Men's: 57kg, 62kg, 66kg, 71kg, 77kg, 84kg, 93kg, 100kg and 130kg
Women's: 50kg, 53kg, 57kg, 61kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg and 90kg

The tournament will held across three days with finals on day two and three. For details of the schedule click here.

For registrations, UWW urges athletes to go through the country national federations and apply through UWW Athena.

PATTAYA, Thailand (June 29) -- The U20 Asian Championships kicks off in Pattaya, Thailand from Wednesday with Greco-Roman, followed by Women's Wrestling and then Freestyle.

The U20 Asian Wrestling Championships will run from July 1 to 5 with 120 medals up for grabs. Iran, India, Japan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan remain the strongest countries in the mix.
