About Kyle

Entering Tokyo as the No. 2 seed at 97 kg, Snyder returns to the Olympic stage after an impressive 2016 Rio performance, where he won gold, becoming the youngest U.S. wrestler to earn an Olympic title. In addition to his Olympic gold, Snyder also owns World titles from the ’15 World Championships in Las Vegas and the ’17 World Championships in Paris, where he defeated ’16 Olympic champion at 86 kg Abdulrashid SADULAEV (RUS) in the finals to help the USA to a team title. He won two more World medals this quad, claiming silver in ’18 and a bronze in ’19. Snyder is a four-time Pan American Championships gold medalist and a two-time Pan American Games champion. He won his most recent Pan Am gold at the ’21 Pan American Championships, dominating the field. He also owns Ranking Series wins from ’19 Yasar Dogu and ’18 Ivan Yariguin. 25-year-old Snyder trains under 2004 Olympic champion Cael SANDERSON (USA). Snyder is married to Maddie Pack.
