Participation record au cours d'Introduction à l'arbitrage organisé par la Fédération indienne

SONEPAT, Inde (le 30 novembre) -- La Fédération indienne de lutte (WFI) a organisé un cours d'Introduction à l'arbitrage du 18 au 20 novembre dernier à Sonepat, qui a bénéficié d'une participation record de 96 participants (86 hommes et 10 femmes).

“Le cours a été très utile pour le développement des capacités et des connaissances des arbitres nationaux indiens. La WFI organise 25 compétitions domestiques chaque année. Après ce cours, nous avons suffisamment d'arbitres nationaux pour conduire nos compétitions ; ce groupe arbitrera la plupart des événements,” a déclaré M. Brijbhushan Sharan Singh, le Président de la Fédération indienne.

Le course était dirigé par Carlos GARCIA (ESP), assisté d'Ashok KUMAR (IND), tous deux des arbitres IS et éducateurs UWW certifiés.

Lors de ces trois jours, les participants se sont concentrés sur plusieurs domaines importants du développement des arbitres. Après une évaluation initiale, les sujets principaux ont été concentrés sur la mechanique et le positionnement des arbitres, les devoirs des équipes d'arbitres et la sécurité des athlètes.

Les sessions du matin étaient théoriques, aidées d'images vidéo ou d'exemples tirés des sessions pratiques. Les sessions de l'après-midi étaient elles dédiées à la pratique sur les tapis par l'arbitrage de courts combats. Ces sessions pratiques ont permis aux participants d'appliquer les éléments appris et d'améliorer leurs performances.

“J'ai beaucoup appris de ce cours, même des choses dont je n'étais pas au courant comme les dernières règles de compétition. Ce cours a été très utile pour moi, et j'ai vraiment eu du plaisir," a commenté l'arbitre Shivaji.

“Je souhaite remercier la Fédération indienne de lutte d'avoir organisé le cours et pour leur hospitatlité. Il est très motivant de voir autant d'intérêt et de passion qui, même si ce n'est pas tout, vous amènent plus vite à votre objectif. Les jeunes arbitres indiens font preuve d'une passion qui pourrait amener des voitures de formule 1 à leur vitesse maximum !," dixit Garcia.

La Russie remporte deux médailles d'or en lutte féminine aux Championnats d'Europe U23

La Russie a remporté deux médailles d'or en lutte féminine aux Championnats d'Europe U23 d'United World Wrestling à Ruse aujourd'hui.

Natalia Malshyeva était au top de sa forme à 53 kg et s'est facilement qualifiée pour les finales, ou elle a battu sans difficulté Lilya Horishna 11-0.

Mercedesz Denes et Leyla Gurbanova ont également facilement remporté deux médailles de bronze face à Iulia Leorda et Sandra Sofia Sarkkinen respectivement.

Anzhela Fomenko a remporté la deuxième médaille d'or pour la Russie à 63 kg en battant Adela Hanzlickova 11-0 par supériorité technique.

Asli Tugcu (TUR) a remporté le bronze face à la roumaine Alexandra Nicoleta . Solomiya Volska  (UKR) a battu Madzina Sidakova (Biélorussie) et a remporté la seconde médaille de bronze.

Azerbaijan win two gold medals in men's freestyle at UWW Under-23 European Championships

Azerbaijan secured two gold medals on the penultimate day at the United World Wrestling (UWW) Under-23 European Championships as men’s freestyle action came to the fore at the Bulstrad Arena in Ruse.

The country, which has a rich tradition in the sport, had topped the podium just once over the two days of women’s freestyle action in the Bulgarian city.

Mirjalal Hasan-Zada got his country off to the best possible start today, though, earning a hard-fought 7-4 victory over Baris Kaya of Turkey in the final of the 57 kilogram division.

Bronze medals in the category went the way of Russia’s Ibragim Ilyasov and Moldovan Ivan Zamfirov after they overcame the challenges of Bulgaria's Mehmed Zeyti Feraim and Ukraine's Taras Markovych respectively.

Azerbaijan then picked up their second crown of the day thanks to Nurmagomed Gadzhiyev, who stormed to a rampant success in his 97kg gold medal bout with Poland’s Mateusz Filipczak.

Gadzhiyev dominated the contest from start to finish, sealing victory in style with an 11-0 technical fall win.

Russia's Zaynulla Kurbanov cruised to the first bronze medal, beating Ukraine’s Murazi Mchedlidze, and Georgian Givi Matcharashvili defeated Alexios Kaouslidis of Cyprus to take the other.

Hat-trick of gold medals for Russia as Under-23 European Wrestling Championships conclude

Russia sealed a hat-trick of men’s freestyle gold medals with a commanding display as the United World Wrestling (UWW) Under-23 European Championships drew to a close tonight at the Bulstrad Arena in Ruse.

Imam Adzhiev got the wrestling powerhouse off to the best possible start, claiming the 61 kilograms title with a technical fall success in the final against home hope Dimitar Lyubomirov Ivanov.

Azerbaijan, in superb form yesterday as their wrestlers picked up two gold medals, earned the first bronze thanks to Zalimkhan Valiyev, who beat Ukraine's Vadym Dukhno.

The other medal in the category went to Georgia’s Shota Phartenadze after he thrashed Mihai Esanu of Moldova.

The gold medal bout in the 70kg weight class proved to be an intriguing affair and provided Russia’s second crown as Rasul Arsanaliev edged Azerbaijan's Gadzhimurad Omarov 11-9 in a high-scoring contest.

Muhammet Akdeniz of Turkey and Georgia's Davit Buziashvili sealed the bronze medals on offer with victories over Frenchman Johnny Just Bur and Vasyl Mykhailov of the Ukraine respectively.
