L'atelier de travail sur l'organisation d'évènements d'UWW se termine avec succès à Istanbul

ISTANBUL, Turquie (5 août) — La troisième édition de l'atelier sur l'organisation d'évènements d'United World Wrestling a été un grand succès à Istanbul en Turquie du 27 juillet au 1er août. L'évènement de l'année dernière à Rome a également été un grand succès et l'atelier de cette année s'inscrit dans la continuité de cet accomplissement. Le Pullman Istanbul Hotel & Convention Centre a accueilli l'atelier en raison de ses équipements modernes et de son hébergement confortable.

Des participants de 13 pays ont assisté à l'atelier, créant un rassemblement diversifié et international. Au total, 21 personnes se sont jointes à l'atelier, apportant avec elles une connaissance et une expérience précieuse.

L'atelier a débuté par une cérémonie d'ouverture à laquelle ont assisté les acteurs clé responsable de son organisation. Rodica Maria YAKSI (TUR), Membre du Bureau UWW et Présidente du Comité des styles associés d'UWW, a joué un rôle crucial dans son succès. Jean-Daniel REY (SUI), Chef de projet et Yuri MAIER (ARG), Officier de développement et du sport d'UWW, étaient également présents. Leur présence a souligné l'importance de l'atelier auprès la communauté de la lutte.

L'atelier s'est concentré sur la formation des participants sur l'organisation d'évènements, couvrant des sujets tels que les outils de planification, les avantages de l'évènement, la procédure d'appel d'offre, les domaines fonctionnels et plus encore. Il comprenait quatre sessions théoriques et pratiques et certaines activités essentielles des championnats du monde U17 notamment les réunions techniques, les tirages, les examens médicaux et les pesées. 

Les participants ont également eu des entretiens informatifs avec différentes commissions et ont visité les installations mises en place pour les championnats du monde U17.

L'atelier de cette année a vu une participation accrue d'experts dans différents domaines, enrichissant les discussions et renforçant l'impact de l'évènement. Les participants ont apprécié l'opportunité de s'engager avec différentes commissions et ainsi d'acquérir des connaissances précieuses applicables à de multiples domaines.

Les experts qui ont animé la discussion comprenaient Yui Maier - Officier du développement et du sport d'UWW ; Kadir CALISKAN (GER) – Media/Photos ; Deividas BARGAILA (LTU) - IT, Rodica Maria Yaksi - Protocole et cérémonies de remise de prix, Ana STANKOVIC (SRB) – Accréditation et système Athena, Antonina BOSSER (SUI) - Développement durable, et Halil Ibrahim CICIOGLU (TUR) - Arbitrage.

l'un des points forts de l'atelier était l'introduction au guide de préparation d'évènement, un guide complet conçu poru aider les organisateurs d'évènement à se préparer à tout évènement UWW. Le guide couvre tous les domaines et les exigences nécessaires à l'organisation d'un évènement, y compris la planification logistique, le marketing et la promotion, la communication et les mesures de sécurité. C'est un outil essentiel pour garantir le succès de tout évènement UWW et contribue à créer une expérience mémorable pour tous les participants.

Les réactions à une enquête anonyme après l'atelier ont été extrêmement positives, témoignant de l'enthousisame des participants pour des éditions futures. Les sessions interactives et les discussions diverses ont fourni des informations précieuses pour l'organisation et l'exécution d'évènement. Un participant a déclaré, "j'ai apprécié l'énergie positive de tous ceux qui ont participé au séminaire, l'intérêt que nous avons manifesté pour apprendre le plus possible et la volonté des instructeurs de nous transmettre leurs connaissances et de nous aider."

Dans l'ensemble, l'atelier sur l'organisation d'événements a constitué une excellente plateforme d'apprentissage pour les participants, leur permettant d'organiser des événements de manière plus efficace à l'avenir.

Lopez Nunez, Vlasov en tête des classements de lutte gréco-romaine après leurs victoires à Rio

CORSIER-SUR-VEVEY (September 8) – Mijain LOPEZ NUNEZ (CUB) and Roman VLASOV (RUS) closed out the 2016 international wrestling season with repeat triumphs at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and No.1 rankings in the United World Wrestling list of the top Greco-Roman wrestlers.

Lopez claimed his third Olympic Games gold medal at super heavyweight by sneaking past reigning world champion Riza KAYAALP (TUR) in the 130kg final at Rio 2016, while world champion Vlasov followed up a win in London four years ago with another gold medal performance in Rio de Janeiro.

Of the four remaining Greco-Roman champions crowned at Carioca Arena, only Ismael BORRERO MOLINA (CUB) at 59kg was able to match Vlasov by moving seamlessly from world champion to the Olympic Games gold medal – his first.

Like Lopez, two-time world champion Artur ALEKSANYAN (ARM), who slipped to No.2 in the rankings at 98kg after a loss at the European championships in March, reclaimed the top spot with a 3-0 victory over Yasmany LUGO CABRERA (CUB).

Meanwhile, Davit CHAKVETADZE (RUS) went from third to No.1 at 85kg with a win over world champ Zhan BELENYUK (UKR) and 2014 world champion Davor STEFANEK (SRB) carved his way through a crowded field at 66kg to go from No.6 in the rankings to No.1.

Rasul CHUNAYEV (AZE), world champion at the non-Olympic category of 71kg, dropped to 66kg and won a bronze medal there, leaving the top spot at light welterweight open for Balint KORPASI (HUN).

Among the biggest movers in the rankings, Shinobu OTA (JPN) vaulted from No.12 to No.2 after winning the silver medal at 59kg, while teammate Tomohiro INOUE (JPN) went from unranked to fifth place and No.6 in the rankings at 66kg.

Former world champion Elis GURI (BUL) also went from unranked to No.8 after a seventh place finish in the Rio 2016 results at 98kg.

The top six finishers at the Olympic Games and world championships at each category are initially accorded the top six positions in the rankings, while the places No.7 to No.20 are determined by a combination of factors, including the results from the championships as well as from competition over the previous 12 months.

Wrestlers in the rankings are listed by name, country code, most notable or most recent result over the last 12 months, and their position in the previous rankings.

(NOTE: The United World Wrestling rankings will take a break until the world championships for non-Olympic weight categories are held in Budapest, December 10-11.)

59kg – Shinobu OTA (JPN) launched his bid for a Rio 2016 medal with his second win over defending Olympic Games champion Hamid SORYAN (IRI) in five months and pinned two-time Olympic silver medalist Rovshan BAYRAMOV (AZE) in the semifinals to leap 10 places to No.2 in the rankings.
