About Alejandro

In Tokyo, 27-year-old Sancho will compete in his first World-level event in the Senior category. He has made World appearances at the Junior and U23 level. He qualified the U.S. for the 67 kg weight class, taking silver at the ’20 Pan American Olympic Qualifier. The week before, Sancho, who competes for the U.S. Army wrestling team, won a bronze medal at the ’21 Pan American Championships. He has claimed international gold medals at the ’17 Grand Prix of Zagreb as well as the ’14, ’18 and ’19 Bill Farrell International tournaments. He earned the U.S. berth to Tokyo, defeating Army teammate and two-time Olympian Ellis Coleman. He is engaged to his fiancé Shae.
